Popular Businessman Khalif Kairo is breathing a sigh of relief after the High Court slashed his Ksh 2M bond to half a million. 

In a now viral conversation with Digital Creator,2mbili, Kairo broke the news noting that his family is now working tirelessly to ensure the amount is raised to hurriedly secure his release.

Further, Kairo thanked 2mbili and netizens who have stood with him in raising money geared towards getting him out of prison.

“High Court imereduce bond sasa tuko half a million. Ndiyo natry kuona venye tunaweza fanya fanya pia familia wanakimbia kimbia tuone kama tunaweza malizia hata kesho God willing. Nimeappreciate sana 2mbili, mambo ilikuwa mbaya sana but you guys have really come through. Hii kidogo it really helps. Ukiwa hapa you are at your lowest,” grateful Kairo stated as 2mbili promised to continue rallying well-wishers for more contribution

Kairo’s Outcry

On 26th March, 2025, Kairo took to his X account (formerly Twitter) lamenting about Ksh 2M bond from the court with no option of bail. He termed it an outright frustration, asking his followers for prayers.

“Ksh2 million bond again with no bail option. The frustration is on another level but it’s fine. I will trust GOD. I will not be able to raise the 2m bond, so it’s remand for now. We will rebuild, restructure and God will see us through. Am going offline, nawapenda and keep praying for me.”

2mbili rallies fans to support Kairo

On April 2, 2025, 2mbili then took to his social accounts requesting car enthusiasts and fans to support the embattled car dealer, a campaign that has raised substantial amounts to Kairo’s delight.

“I stand with Khalif Kairo. Am trying to get how we can help raise his bail. What if tutoe Ksh 1M halafu yeye atoe hiyo Ksh 1M? Manze Kairo hafai kuwa bado ako remand,”2mbili said before issuing a Paybill number for touched individuals to channels contributions 

It should be remembered that Kairo has faced numerous arrests in the recent past over fraud allegations including accusations of obtaining millions from different individuals without delivering agreed vehicles.
