The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has today Monday 14th April,2025 announced new fuel prices which will be in place from 15th April, 2025 to 14th May 2025.
In the reviewed petroleum pump prices, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene decrease by Kshs1.95/litre, Ksh 2.20/litre and Ksh 2.40/litre respectively.
Following the review, in Nairobi, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will now retail at Kshs 174.63, Kshs 164.86 and Kshs 148.99 respectively effective midnight for the next 30 days.
In Mombasa, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will respectively retail at Ksh171.39, Ksh161.62 and Ksh145.75.
In Kisumu on the other hand, Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene will now retail at Ksh174.67, Ksh165.24 and Ksh149.42.
Further, EPRA highlighted that the prices are inclusive of the 16 per cent value-added tax (VAT) and the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation.
“The prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020,” EPRA stated

The Energy body also assured Kenyans of its commitment to observe fair competition and protection of interests of both consumers and investors always.
In March 14th, 2025 fuel prices review, the prices of Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene remained unchanged despite the then drop in international fuel prices.
