From thrilling finals to cultural celebrations, the 2025 Brookside Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) term one games had it all and Mombasa was the perfect stage for it.

Held from April 5 to 13, 2025, at Shimo La Tewa High School and Shanzu TTC, this national event brought together Kenya’s top young athletes in a vibrant mix of sports, competition, and unity. And when the dust settled, Western Region stood tall as the overall champions.

What the Games Are All About

Organized by the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) and proudly sponsored by Brookside Dairy, the term one games are a cornerstone of Kenya’s youth sports calendar.

This year’s edition featured: athletics, hockey, basketball (5-on-5), handball and rugby, swimming and cross country.

Brookside played a major role in the event’s success, backing it with a Ksh 30 million sponsorship. Of this, Ksh 21.5 million went into organizing the games — including kits, trophies, and certificates — while Ksh 8.75 million covered branding and participation costs.
