Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS), has uploaded yet another disclaimer to KCSE 2024 candidates who are currently tendering their Degree and Diploma applications for the September 2025 intake.

In a post made on their X (formerly Twitter) account, KUCCPS has disputed circulating rumours that it has raised cut off points for students seeking to join Education Courses.

A misleading post on Facebook read, “KUCCPS have revised their cut off points for education and the current C- students interested in Education might miss out, this is due to the raise of cut off points…”

The Placement body flagged it urging candidates to stick to its official pages for authentic updates and ignore information from impersonators.

Addressing common errors made by Students during application, KUCCPS warns students against the following:

1: Filling the contact form with incorrect phone numbers.

2: Leaving courses in the Course Basket without submitting an application.

3: Applying for one programme and leaving other choices blank

4: Applying for the same course in all the choices.

5: Selecting only one course in one institution.

6: Arranging courses randomly in the application form.

7: Using M-Pesa transaction ID to submit application instead of eCitizen account.

The body notes any of the above errors will cost students seeking to land their dream courses.

According to KUCCPS, an applicant looking forward to pursue a degree course must obtain a minimum grade of C+ (plus) in KCSE, while a diploma student must have at least a C- (minus). A certificate student is required to have a minimum grade of D+ (plus) in KCSE.
