Kapseret MP Oscar Kipchumba Sudi has come clean on why he has never uttered a word in Parliament.

Speaking at an event attended by hundreds of locals, Sudi hilariously admitted being mum in Parliament clarifying that speaking in the National Assembly isn’t his job.

According to him, his main job is on ground as opposed to inside the August House where he holds no position in any of the Committees.

“Unajua mimi bunge hiyo si kazi yangu. Mimi ni mtu ya mawaya. Umewahi skia niko kamati yoyote bunge? Umewahi skia mimi naongea huko bunge? Lakini kuna waya ingine mimi naunganisha hapa…Si tumekuja hapa leo? Nikichanga millioni 15 si tutakuwa tumeskuma watu wengi,”Sudi defended himself.

In the same podium, Sudi wittily admitted having not gone to school. He noted that his opponents usually use it against him and he has never disputed it since it is true.

“Mmeskia wanasema mimi sikuenda shule. Unafikiri hao watu walisema uongo? Mumewahi sikia mahali nikisema nimeenda shule?”Sudi posed to the crowd

The Kapseret legislator however noted that people should not judge him solely based on his education level arguing that he does much on ground where he is needed.

“Ukikuja huko kwangu napanga maneno kwa sababu ya ukarabati. Kwani nyinyi wote mlisoma? Si ni akina Ichung’wah tu walipata Bahati wakaenda shule? Lakini sisi wengine wote ni ‘hoyee hoyee.’ Si unaona nikisimama Rais nitaangusha hawa watu sababu watu wa hoyee hoyee wako wengi,”he added

Sudi also warned youths against being used by politicians to heckle leaders and disrupt political gatherings for politicians personal agenda.

He further urged Kenyans to give the Kenya Kwanza administration time since they will eventually deliver on the Campaign promises.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day—let’s accord this government patience as we work towards progress. Leaders, stop weaponizing citizens for political wars. Instead, let’s focus on empowering them with truth, tools, and opportunities to engage meaningfully,” Sudi concluded
