Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has hinted on an upcoming mega coalition he is working on to face President William Ruto in the forthcoming general elections.

While speaking in Machakos County during the burial service of the late Reverend Joseph Kiteng’e Nzola of JCC Mountain of Worship Church, Gachagua highlighted that the collaboration will comprise of five political bigwigs including himself.

He further claims that the formation of the coalition follows advice from Kenyans authoritatively asserting that they have a great formula of issuing good leadership to Kenyans.

“Tumeskiza Wakenya wanasema tupangane tutafute serikali mpya ya kusaidia Kenya na hiyo tunafanya na Kalonzo Musyoka, Eugene Wamalwa, George Natembeya, Fred Matiang’i na Riggy G ako jikoni ndiyo nachorachora maneno. We have a formula to give you good leadership,”Gachagua alleged and stated.

Additionally, Gachagua revealed they will not unveil who their flagbearer is until 2026 to avoid outward interference.

The Former DP’s sentiments affirms his keen interest in dethroning his former boss(President Ruto) who he has in many occasions been seen as a critic of since they parted ways following his impeachment.

He has also in many instances raised an alarm claiming his life is in danger. Today 15th April, 2025 in a statement, Gachagua raised yet another alarm concluding that should anything happen to him, Inspector General of Police should be held accountable.

“You are aware that there have been deliberate plans to attack my homes in Nairobi, Nyeri and my properties across the country by individuals well known to you or where you are a culpable accomplice.  You are also well aware that Security Agencies have been trailing me with marked and unmarked vehicles.’’Gachagua partly alleged.
