Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives have arrested Kiambu Governor Kimani Wamatangi over alleged corruption.
The Governor has found himself in the hands of authorities today Monday 15th April, 2025 following a raid at his residence and county offices.
He alongside nine other senior Kiambu County officials have been taken to EACC headquarters for grilling over alleged embezzlement of public funds.
Some documents and electronic devices believed to be key in the investigations have also been held by the detectives.
EACC detectives further siezed Ksh12 million and USD 13, 000 cash suspected to be proceeds of corruption.
The arrest of the Kiambu head saw his supporters camp outside the Integrity Center protesting against his capture.
