President William Ruto has made it clear that he is ready to take full responsibility for the tough decisions his administration will make. Speaking during the searing in of Cabinet Secretaries and Principal Secretaries at State House Nairobi, Ruto stated that the time for avoiding hard choices is over and that he is prepared to lead from the front, even if it comes at a political cost.

”I will be leading from the front because I have made a conscious decision that the difficult decisions this nation has always wanted to make and have not been made because of political expediency, I will make those decisions and pay the price if there is any to be paid” stated the President

The presdent said a time has come for Kenya and its leadership to deliver to the people.

He said ”This is the time to do the things that Kenya has always wanted to do, so that we can stop talking of the potential of Kenya.”

Ruto defended the inclusive nature of his government, stating that a broad-based administration is essential for tackling the country’s longstanding challenges. According to Ruto, no single side of the political divide can resolve Kenya’s deep-rooted issues alone.

He emphasized that bringing together diverse voices and perspectives is not just a political strategy but a necessity for national progress. By uniting different leaders under one government, Ruto believes the country stands a better chance of making bold, far-reaching decisions that have been delayed for years due to partisan politics.

”This broadbased administration in my opinion is what we need to make sure that we can take head on the things we wanted to do as a nation that no one side, can do it on their own.” said President Ruto

He cited tangible progress in key sectors under his broad-based administration. From improved access to healthcare and notable investments in education to renewed efforts in agricultural reforms, the president made it clear that his government is delivering results despite political noise and opposition pushback.
