Police in Kayole, Nairobi are investigating a tragic incident involving a 17-year-old boy accused of fatally stabbing a woman during a family meeting.
According to police reports, the teenager had been invited to the home of a 19-year-old woman whom he had allegedly impregnated for a discussion with her family on May 4, 2025. However, what was meant to be a dialogue reportedly turned violent after a disagreement.
In the heat of the altercation, the boy is said to have grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed the woman; mother to the 19-year-old in the back, causing fatal injuries.
The chaos also left the woman’s sister wounded, sustaining cuts to her hands and mouth. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police have since arrested the suspect and recovered the knife believed to have been used in the attack as investigations continue.
