Two brothers have been arrested after they were found ferrying nine sacks of bhang in a dramatic bust along the Maai Mahiu–Nairobi road.

The suspects, Minja Jimmy and Bernard Nyabero Nyakangi both aged 37 were nabbed during an intelligence-led operation by a multi-agency team involving Anti-Narcotics, Transnational Organized Crime detectives, and officers from Mutarakwa Police Post.

The duo was intercepted in Limuru driving a white Toyota Noah; Inside, officers uncovered nine 90kg sacks of bhang, carefully concealed under black polythene.

The suspects were taken to Mutarakwa Police Post before being transferred to DCI headquarters for further processing and arraignment.

Authorities say the haul is a major win in Kenya’s ongoing war against drug trafficking.
