Energy Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi has strongly criticized opposition leaders for their continued attacks on the broad-based government.
While addressing residents in Ugunja Constituency on Sunday, Wandayi reaffirmed his support for President William Ruto, stating that the Head of State is a better leader compared to opposition figures including Kalonzo Musyoka, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i.
“If you give me a choice between Gachagua, Kalonzo, Matiang’i …etc on one side and President William Ruto on the other side, I can tell you without any fear of contradiction that I will go with Ruto any day any time,” Wandayi declared, emphasizing that the opposition lacks the capacity to bring about meaningful change or transformation.
The CS defended the broad-based government, citing it as a more inclusive and effective model that is actively working to uplift the lives of Kenyans. He noted that significant progress has been made, particularly in revamping the country’s economy and improving the standard of living for ordinary citizens.
The CS further praised the broad-based government, highlighting the support from Azimio leader Raila Odinga as instrumental in the administration’s efforts to revamp Kenya’s economy.
“The broad-based government has made great efforts to turn around the economy of this country and to make life more bearable,” he added.
He urged Kenyans to support the government’s initiatives, insisting that unity and collaboration are essential in achieving long-term development goals.
