Barcelona hit a new club record for the highest revenue generated from a single match with 14 million euros from their El Clásico thriller against Real Madrid on Sunday.
According to an official report by @EsportsRAC1, Barcelona set a new milestone with €13.4 M, the highest ever from a single matchday.
“Barça has invoiced €13.8M with the classic at Montjuïc. The club states that this is the total record on match day.”
The thriller was hosted in a fully packed Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys and saw an attendance of 50,319.
Barcelona saw the completion of a clean sweep against their arch rivals in Real Madrid this season, and they made a bold step towards securing their 28th La Liga title.
The action packed thriller also witnessed Kylian Mbappé’s hat trick. The Frenchman scored two goals in 15 minutes to give the Madrid a commanding lead early. In a turn of events goals from Garcia and Lamine Yamal even the score and two from Raphinha put Hansi Flick’s side up 4-2 at halftime.

On Thursday, Barcelona will play Espanyol away from home in La Liga; a win would guarantee the championship. However, the Catalans would win the championship before a ball is kicked against Espanyol if Real Madrid lost against Mallorca on Wednesday.
