The National Police Service NPS has announced that it has successfully concluded 71 criminal cases over the last four months.

In a press release issued by the Office of the Inspector General, NPS noted that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations DCI has been actively addressing serious crimes, including armed robbery, murder, defilement, drug, arms trafficking, and human trafficking.

Some of the high-profile cases concluded include those involving officials from the Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO), the deaths of Silvia Kemunto, a student at Multimedia University, and Campbell Alistair Scott, as well as the murder of IEBC official Aisha Abubakar in Kilifi.

Police also cited progress in the investigation of the murder of late Kasipul Member of Parliament Charles Wer. Another notable case involved a violent robbery targeting a Korean missionary couple in Kajiado County, where four suspects have already been arrested and arraigned.

The Service thanked members of the public for their cooperation in providing vital information and encouraged continued collaboration, affirming its commitment to justice and public safety.
