Members of Parliament are now demanding thorough investigations in to the alleged ‘self-abduction’ of Juja Member of Parliament George Koimbori .  Majority leader in the National Assembly Kimani Ichungwa says it is shameful of a member of parliament to perform such theatrics causing unrest in the country.

Ichungw’a now wants other state agencies to investigate Kiombiri and make sure he answers if at all he staged his won abduction ”The Police have done their work, the DPP must do its work , EACC as well  because of chapter six  on the matter of ethics of public officers that the honorable Koimbori has contravened. ‘stated Ichungw’a.

Ichungwa says it is not the first time the MP has spread lies recalling how in 2024 he claimed that members of parliament were being paid  two million shillings to vote for the finance bill. ”You can remember all of you that honorable Koimbori came to this house apologised and we all accepted his apology and let that go, Mr. speaker we must not let this pass.” he said as he called on thorough investigations against the Member of Parliament.

The leader of majority implicated the Former Deputy President in the ‘self-abduction’  case of Koimbori saying he knew of the happenings. According to Ichungwa the ‘abduction’ was well thought out and planned in order to blame the police and the government.

”I remember sharing information that there are members of parliament who plan to abduct themselves and blame it on the government, and Mr. Speaker time is a healer I think many things are being vindicated over time” Said Ichungwa.

In a heated debate in parliament Wednesday afternoon the Leader of the Minority Party Junet Mohammed also implicated Gachagua saying he was the planner behind the self abduction of Koimbori. He said ” Koimbori ‘s self abduction has to be the biggest political scandal in our country. When I saw the way Koimburi was sleeping, stomach up, I knew it’s a joke.”

Junet questioned why only leaders allied to Gachagua were allowed to visit him in the hospital ”The only person who was allowed to see him in hospital was the Wamunyoro group, even people who are in ICU are allowed visitors.”

The Suna MP challenged the now opposition leaders to get lessons from ODM leader Raila Odinga on how to play opposition politics.

” If you want to know how to do opposition politics you know where you can find good advice, go and see Baba, sit down with him and ask him how did you sustain this opposition politics for the last forty years? I have never seen you abduct yourself. I have never seen you shoot your car? What tactics did you use?”

Suba Member of Parliament Milli Odhiambo called on the dignity of public officers and the holders. ”Don’t make us waste so much English, Mr. Speaker this  member of parliament should be investigated not only by the privileges committee but he must be prosecuted.”

The Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula has directed the Committee on security to investigate the matter and present a conclusive report to the house.

The Chairman of the Committee on Security Gabriel Tongoyo said the report will be ready in one week.
