For the first time since his alleged abduction Juja Member of Parliament George Koimburi is speaking out.

Speaking from Karen Hospital, where he still receiving treatment Koimburi has broken his silence , dismissing the claims from the National Police Service (NPS) that he staged his own abduction

The MP has painted a harrowing picture of his experience in what he describes as an abduction ordeal while expressing gratitude to those who helped save his life.

Koimburi explained how he met his abductors on May 25, 2025, as he was coming from church and was roughed up before being bundled up in a car.

Koimburi recounted the events of the day he was allegedly abducted outside a church “It was May 25, 2025, at the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, where I was coming from when the goons intercepted me and blindfolded me. They then drugged me, and the following day, I was abandoned on a coffee farm. It was a boda boda rider who informed my family, who rescued me and brought me to the hospital,” he explained.

This comes days after the National Police dismissed Koimbori’s abduction saying he worked with his proxies to stage his own abduction for political gains.

In a press statement the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Amin Mohamed said upon interrogation of three suspects in the alleged abduction, they found glaring and inconsistent gaps disabusing the forceful abduction.
