The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA)in its regular monthly review announced new fuel prices set to take effect from midnight, June 15, 2025, to July 14, 2025, in line with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No. 192 of 2022.

In this month’s review, EPRA has announced an increased in the pump price of Super Petrol by KShs.2.69 per litre. The increase now means motorists will have to pay KSh177.32 for a litre of Petrol compared to last month’s KSh174.63 per litre marking a first increase in months.

Unlike Petrol which has gone up, Diesel and Kerosene’s prices have dropped by KShs.1.95 and KShs.2.06 per litre respectively continuing the trend of falling prices. Diesel will now retail at KSh162.91 compared to last month’s KSh164.86 per litre, On the other hand, kerosene’s new price will be KSh146.93 from Sh148.99 a litre.

In summary motorists in Nairobi will now pay:

KShs.177.32 per litre for Super Petrol,

KShs.162.91 per litre for Diesel, and

KShs.146.93 per litre for Kerosene.

EPRA also revealed that the the prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024 and the revised rates for excise duty adjusted for inflation as per Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.

Kenya Kwanza removed subsidies and now EPRA emphasizes that the changes reflect the prevailing international prices of petroleum products and the associated landing costs during the review period.
