Kenya’s First Lady, H.E. Rachel Ruto, joined Kenyans in marking this year’s Father’s Day with a deeply moving message celebrating fathers across the country, while also offering a personal tribute to her husband, President William Samoei Ruto.

Through her official statement on her X account the First Lady acknowledged the efforts of fathers across the country and the roles they play in families and society, hailing their patience, wisdom, and support

“To all the amazing dads out there: Today, we celebrate you. We see the quiet strength it takes to shoulder responsibilities, the long hours worked to provide, and the countless sacrifices made out of love,” she said.

The First Lady also recognized and honored the role fathers play in raising morally upright children through the safe haven they create, “Your dedication in raising your children well – shaping them with patience, wisdom, and support – is the most profound gift. Thank you for every effort, big and small. You are deeply appreciated.”

Rachel Ruto also had an emotional tribute to President Ruto recognizing his efforts of balancing the ever demanding job of a President and family responsibilities.

“And to my incredible Bill: On this Father’s Day, my heart overflows with gratitude and awe for you. While you carry the weight of immense responsibility for our nation – a burden few can truly understand – you still find a way to be fully present for our family,” she said “you show up. You listen, you laugh, you guide, and you love our wonderful children with all your heart.”

Meanwhile President William Ruto also joined Kenyans in celebrating Father’s Day with a touching tribute to fathers across the country describing them “as the silent heroes who protect, provide, and nurture the foundation of our families.”
