Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, H.E. Dr. Musalia W. Mudavadi, has landed in Finland for a high level International forum to represent H.E. President William Samoei Ruto at the prestigious two days Kultaranta Talks scheduled for June 16–17, 2025.

The annual high-level forum, hosted by the President of the Republic of Finland, H.E. Alexander Stubb, is scheduled to occur at the Presidential Summer Residence in Naantali. The theme for this year’s talks is “The Changing World Order – Old Meets New,” with a focus on shifting geopolitical dynamics, global security challenges, and new trends in foreign policy.

Mudavadi’s visit following President Subb’s state visit to Kenya a month ago underscoring the strong ties between the two countries.

Approximately 140 invited participants will convene for this year’s talks, among them are policymakers, academics, business leaders, civil society representatives, public administrators, and media professionals to deliberate on key issues shaping international affairs. Dr. Mudavadi’s participation underscores Kenya’s commitment to global dialogue and multilateral cooperation.

On the first day of the talks discussions are expected to centre around global shifts in the world order, while the second day will focus on Finland’s role in the evolving landscape and the balance between value-driven and pragmatic approaches in its foreign policy.

On the sidelines of the forum, Dr. Mudavadi is expected to hold bilateral talks with Finland’s President, Stubb and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Elina Valtonen. The discussions will center on strengthening Kenya–Finland relations and exploring new avenues for strategic collaboration in areas such as trade, education, innovation, and climate change.

Upon his arrival in Helsinki, Dr. Mudavadi was received by Kenya’s Ambassador to Finland, H.E. Angeline Musili, and Minister Counsellor Nathaniel Taama.

His presence at the Kultaranta Talks highlights Kenya’s growing diplomatic footprint and active role in shaping global conversations on peace, development, and international cooperation.
