The Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC) has announced 38 vacancies for security wardens to reinforce security operations at Parliament Buildings and its surrounding areas.
In a notice released on Tuesday, July 1, PSC invited qualified and disciplined individuals with prior uniformed service experience to apply for the positions by July 15, 2025.
“The security wardens will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of Parliament by managing advanced surveillance equipment and overseeing access control,” PSC stated in the notice.
The responsibilities will include operating X-ray scanners, walk-through metal detectors, underbelly cameras, CCTV systems, and bomb detectors. Officers will also manage pedestrian and vehicle entry points, screen and vet visitors, and maintain detailed records in the Occurrence Book to assist in future investigations.
Applicants must possess a minimum KCSE grade of D+ and must have served in a uniformed force for at least three years. For direct appointments, candidates must also have undergone parliamentary training while in service.
“These positions are essential in ensuring Parliament remains a secure institution for all stakeholders,” the commission added.
Interested individuals must submit a fully completed PSC job application form, a cover letter, academic certificates, and relevant testimonials. Forms can be accessed from the Parliament website or collected in person from the Office of the Head of the Commission Secretariat at Parliament Buildings.
