Moses Kuria has officially stepped down from his government position as Senior Economic Advisor. Kuria announced his resignation Tuesday evening in a post through his social media accounts. Kuria confirmed that President William Ruto has accepted his decision.
The immediate Economic Advisor Kuria expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve in multiple high-profile roles in Cabinet. In President Rutio’s tenure Kuria has served as Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry for 11 months, Cabinet Secretary for Public Service 9 months, Delivery and Performance Management 10months; and finally as Senior Economic Advisor.
In the statement, Kuria said the shared development and implementation of the Bottom‑Up Economic Transformation Agenda, the flagship policy launched under President Ruto’s 2022 platform.
The former Gatundu South Memebr of Parliament said he is now leaving public office to pursue personal interests but remains proud of the progress made under the administration.
”As I move on to pursue personal interests I am proud of the work the President and I did to implement the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda which I designed together with the President as our 2022 Electoral Platform,” he said
