President William Ruto has made several appointments to different government parastatal boards.
In gazette notices dated July 11, 2025, President Ruto appointed Former Constitution Implementation Committee (CIC) chairman Charles Nyachae to the non-executive chairman of the Kenya School of Government Council for three years.
“I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, re-appoints Charles Nyachae to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Kenya School of Government Council for a period of three (3) years, with effect from 13th July, 2025,” read the president’s gazette notice published on Friday, July 11.
The appointment comes a few months after Nyachae failed to clinch the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) chairmanship.
Nyachae was among the 11 candidates shortlisted to steer the IEBC but the position went to Erastus Edung Ethekon after he was chosen by the selection panel.
At the same time the President has appointed Ali Noor Ismail as the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Pest Control Products Board.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 5 (2)(a) of the Pest Control Products Act, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Ali Noor Ismail to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Pest Control Products Board for a period of three years,” the notice read.”
The President also appointed Abdi Mude Ibrahim to be the Non-Executive Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute.
All appointments will be effective for three years.
