Nadia Mukami has come out to say that her new song on her Extended playlist(EP) named “Single Mother” is greatly inspired by Jackie Matubia following a recent interview she had and the online back and forth content circulating around single mothers.
“My biggest inspiration was the trending interview by Jackie Matubia and the back and forth content circulating online about single Motherhood!As a champion for women and motherhood ,I will always put a word on such issues but through my music !!!” Nadia states.
Jackie Matubia who was recently interviewed on G2G Podcast by Galston Anthony,Jackie revealed the struggles of raising her two daughters.She co-parents with one of her daughter’s fathers while for her second child she raises her independently.
Nadia who took to her socials stating that society doesn’t understand that there are various factors that can lead to one being a single mother. These factors may include; rape, domestic violence, death, divorce, abandonment, drugs & alchohol.
“As a society, we blame the woman and attribute it to adultery, fornication, prostitution whereas its not always the case. I am not saying all women are saints, there are women who have toxic traits when it comes to co-parenting but let us not overlook the fact that there are also so many deadbeat fathers.” Nadia states.
