President William Ruto has personally donated Ksh1 million during the memorial service of the late comedian Zachariah Kariuki, popularly known as Mr KK Mwenyewe.
The Ksh1 million donation from President Ruto was officially presented by Dennis Itumbi, Head of Presidential Special Projects and Creative Economy Coordination, who represented the President at the memorial service.

“Ruto ametoa Ksh 1 million, wakati niliketi hapa niliuliza how much is remaining for the budget nikaambiwa ni Ksh 1.2 million sasa, with Ksh1.5 million si tumemaliza hiyo kazi? Hiyo pesa yote niko nayo lakini nimeomba niende nipatie mama pale nyumbani ndio yeye ajue vile ataorganize hiyo mambo yake ,”Itumbi said.
The late comedian will be laid to rest on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at his family home in Gathiroini village, Lari, Kiambu County.
