Police have arrested three suspects in separate operations targeting narcotics and illicit brews in Nairobi and Kilifi counties.
On 21 July 2025, officers from the Nairobi Regional Operations Team conducted a targeted operation along Jogoo Road, arresting one suspect and seizing 200 kilograms of cannabis (bhang) and 100 litres of chang’aa. The illicit substances were secured as evidence, and the suspect was placed in custody pending arraignment.

In a separate operation on the same day, police officers from Watamu Police Station, acting on a tip-off from members of the public, arrested three suspects in the Timboni area, Kilifi County. The suspects were found inside a house, where officers recovered 14 sachets of heroin, approximately 100 grams of cannabis sativa, three syringes, 15 plastic packaging sheets, and three sterilised alcohol pads. A further search uncovered a spent cartridge and a ledger containing firearm sketches.

All suspects are being held in custody pending arraignment as investigations continue.
