The Kenyan entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden death of actress Alice Wairimu, popularly known by her stage name, Alicia Nimo.
The acting star heartbreakingly passed away on the morning of Saturday, April 19, 2025 after reportedly collapsing.
Nimo had shown no signs of illness prior to her untimely demise that has left her family, friends, and fans in deep shock.
Her body was moved to the Kenyatta University Mortuary pending a postmortem to determine the cause of her death.
Fans and fellow thespians took to Social media to eulogize her.
Reacting to a post, actress Stephens Wanjiku alias Vanessa recounted her last moments with Nimo expressing her shock on the sad news.
“We shot with her on Monday,” she reminisced.
Others joined fans in recounting the vibrant personality and kind heart Nimo exhibited as most noted that she breathed her last when her star had just began shining.
Nimo initially starred in shows like Tahidi High, Netflix’s Cash Money, a series dubbed Nduthi among others.
Her death follows fellow Tahidi High actor Xavier Jerry Nato who passed away on December 31, 2024, at the age of 46 after a prolonged battle with kidney disease.
