The body of Abdallah Aziz Abdallah, 54, was retrieved early Tuesday morning following the tragic collapse of a septic tank in Nyali Sub-county, Mombasa. The incident, which occurred on Sunday, left atleast four people trapped according to police reports.
According to authorities, the body was recovered at approximately 00:49 hours. It marks the first confirmed fatality from the incident.
The body has been taken to the Coast Referral Hospital morgue, where it is currently being preserved pending a postmortem and further investigations.
Emergency services are continuing their efforts at the site, with more updates expected as the search and recovery operations proceed.
