The Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) are still intensifying their fight against illicit drugs.

In an update posted on their X ( formerly Twitter) account, the detectives have informed the country that they have arrested 22-year-old Emmanuel Mwanyae, siezing four sacks of bhang at Nyalani Village in Kaloleni, Kilifi County.

According to the detectives, they acted on a tip from the public leading to the prompt arrest.

“Acting on a tip from members of the public, Police Officers based at Kaloleni Police Station have nabbed 22-year-old Emmanuel Mwanyae at Nyalani village and seized four sacks of bhang,” partly reads the DCI’s statement.

The suspect, Emmanuel Mwanyae, is now in custody, undergoing processing as he awaits his day in court.

The confiscated being on the other hand is detained as exhibit.

This arrests comes only three days after they arrested another woman hiding pellets of cocaine in her private parts.

“Behold, with the help of medical professionals, authorities discovered she was concealing eight pellets of cocaine, weighing 414 grams, hidden in her private parts. The seized cocaine, with an estimated street value of Ksh 1,656,000, is now safely locked as exhibit, while Caroline(the suspect) cools her heels at Moyale Police Station, awaiting her day in court,” DCI reported.
