A terror suspect has been arrested in Nairobi with 21 detonators, suspected ammonium nitrate, and a five-metre electric cable. The 22-year-old was stopped near Kamukunji and handed over to the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit for further investigation.

According to police reports, officers on patrol from Kamukunji Police Station became suspicious of the man due to his erratic and evasive behavior at around 11:20 PM. Upon stopping and questioning him, they conducted a search in his bag, where they discovered 21 detonators, 21 packets of a white substance suspected to be ammonium nitrate, a five-metre electric cable, and other unidentified items.

The suspect was immediately detained and later transferred to the Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) for further interrogation.

Investigations are ongoing to determine the suspect’s intentions and whether he is linked to any known terror groups.
