A Nairobi court has freed activist and software developer Rose Njeri, who was facing charges of cyber harassment and computer misuse.

The court found that the two criminal charges filed by the against her by the state were “defective

In his ruling on Friday, June 20, Milimani principal magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo found that Njeri did not commit any offense according to the charge sheet.

In addition, the magistrate ruled that the charge sheet was ambiguous, which informed the court’s decision not to admit it.

Speaking after the ruling Njeri who was accompanied by her mother thanked Kenyans for their support saying ”Thank you for all the support that kenyans have shown me. Thank you to my Mum and my family and I hope that Justice will always prevail.
