Nominated senator Karen Nyamu has taken to her Instagram to condemn the Gen-Z memorial protest that took place Wednesday June 25, 2025 across the country.
“Maandamano ya jana sijapenda. Nilidhani ni memorial tukumbuke wale waliuawa last year. Lakini ikakua ni vurugu, vitisho na tension mob. Kwa nini?”
Some protesters were hurt and killed during the demonstrations in different parts of the country with over 400 people injured and businesses looted into people’s shops stealing their goods of trade.
“Swali moja tu, jana vijana mlikua mnataka ku achieve nini. Last year the course was very loud and clear. This time you can tell it was first time protesters without a course. Ilikua strategy yenu ama mlifuata script ya nani?”she says.
.A lot of businesses were hurt mainly ran by my industrious Kikuyu people. Yuko wapi yule self appointed spokesperson wa wakikuyu to condemn it??
Additionally, she said, “Be careful with leaders who have nothing left to lose. Leaders who have lost everything, including their conscience. I once had an ex who told me, if I can’t have you no one else will. If I can’t be a leader in Kenya, no one else should.”
Evoking Kenyans to react to her in the comments section, bashing her over her inappropriate post towards the state of the nation.
