There was drama in Kilifi county on Monday as former County Secretary Martin Mwaro who was reportedly sacked unceremoniously was evicted from his office after successfully gaining access to his office through court order.
Drama unfolded around 2 pm when Mwaro in a convoy of four vehicles drove to the gates of the Deputy Governor’s office where his office is housed and was allowed in by the county enforcement offices amid tensions.
Journalists were not allowed in but later goons arrived followed by a faction of MCAs led by Kilifi Majority Leader Ibrahim Abdi Matumbo, Majority Whip Twahir Abdulkarim and Junju ward MCA Said Juma Kanyangweso with supporters who went inside and forcefully evicted the CS who had claimed to have been reinstated by the courts.
Mwaro was sacked by Governor Gideon Mung’aro two weeks ago but had obtained a court order restraining the Governor from advertising a vacancy in his office.
