The Ministry of Health has announced the official posting of 6,484 interns under the 2025/2026 internship program.
The interns will be deployed across various healthcare facilities beginning July 1, 2025, for a 12-month supervised training program. Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, has said the move is aimed at enhancing service delivery, especially in underserved areas, while providing hands-on clinical experience for upcoming healthcare professionals.
The 6,484 interns include 1,147 medical officers, 87 dentists, 500 pharmacists, 659 BSc clinical officers, 1,993 diploma clinical officers, and 2,098 BSc nursing officers.
Eligible pre-interns are required to collect their offer letters in person on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. at Afya House, Nairobi, upon presentation of a valid national ID.
