Detectives from Migori Police Station have arrested a 26-year-old Bernard Kungu a notorious drug peddler and recovered 152 rolls of Bhang.
In a DCI statement released on Tuesday 15th April, 2025, said a report of a suspicious character was trying to board a bus to Mombasa at the Tahmeed booking office in Migori, and so the officers rushed at the scene.
Bernard Kungu had two large bags with him. When the police searched the bags at the station, they found 152 rolls bhang hidden inside. During the questioning, Kungu admitted that he was taking the drugs to Mombasa.
Kungu is now in police custody and will be taken to court soon. The recovered narcotics are being kept by the police as evidence.
