Popular Kenyan Preacher and Neno Evangelism Center Founder Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a has clapped back at critics amid ongoing denunciation.
The Preacher recently hit Kenyan trends after a viral clip showed him slapping one of his congregants for sleeping in Church.
The action sparked reactions among common citizens and celebrated personalities who mostly condemned him for the act.
Speaking on the issue, Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma called for the arrest of the City Preacher while further urging the Registrar of Societies to revoke the Church’s license before Ng’ang’a does the worst.
“Ng’ang’a must be arrested, prosecuted and jailed before worse happens at Neno Evangelism.”Kaluma tweeted.
While seemingly addressing his ‘naysayers’, Ng’ang’a has candidly stated that Neno Evangelism Center isn’t a Church as publicly labelled.
According to him, Neno is a Ministry that deals with deeper things common preachers and churches never handle.
“Nimewaambia mara milioni moja hii si Kanisa. Kanisa ni zile ziko huko. Hii si kanisa, hii ni ya kijeshi. Hii ni Ministry ya kijeshi inayodeal na vitu ziko more deeper, zile ambazo wahubiri wa kawaida hawawezi wakazipata.”Ng’ang’a boldly states.
He further urges those planning to join the Ministry to note the fact that it is not a Church as potrayed.
“Mwenye kujiunga na hii ujue hii si kanisa. Kama unajua hii ni Kanisa usikuje. Abudu huko Kawangware.” He adds
Ng’ang’a’s act of slapping his congregant has left the public with a heated debate on whether Church leaders are allowed to discipline their members for any wrongdoing.
