Police in Nakuru are investigating an incident where a father is said to have killed his own son before commiting suicide.
Residents of Buruburu Estate in Manyani, Kivumbini Ward, Nakuru Town East Sub-County, say the man killed his 4-year-old son by forcing him to drink poison before hanging himself inside his home.
The body of Dennis Nthenge, 28 was found dangling in the bathroom while his four-year-old son Neville Michael was found lifeless on their bed.
Nakuru Town East Police Commander Samson Adanje confirmed the incident saying investigations have commenced.
Neighbors reported that the man was embroiled in ongoing domestic disputes with his wife, who had recently left for her parents’ home in Machanga.
According to witnesses, he picked up the child from school around 4 p.m., before the tragedy occurred.
Police say he left a note alleging that he suspected his wife of infidelity.
