A Kenyan woman has ignited reactions online after appearing in court pleading with the judge to jail her ‘stubborn’ son.

According to the woman, her son has become a thorn in her flesh with constant threats he has been issuing to her.

She claims her son has in several occasions been threatening to kill her adding that he also sells their household items.

The frustrated woman wondered how life would continue with her son under the same roof thus prompted to make the difficult decision of sending him behind bars.

“Amenitishia kabisa. Hata zaidi ya mara nne kwa siku ananitishia. Kama mtu anakutishia kukuua na pia ameiba vitu zote kwa nyumba ameenda kuuza…”The woman started lamenting.

The judge agreed to jail the son until when she will dim fit to have him released.

The male judge added the woman as contact person in the detention of the young man, meaning only his mum will determine the period he stays in jail.

“Sasa mimi nampatia free bond na contact person(wewe ndiye utakuwa contact person). Namweka ndani lakini wewe ndiye utaamua ile siku tutamtoa. Siku ile utaona unataka kumsimamia atoke utasign kwamba ‘nipatie kijana yangu niende naye nyumbani kesi iendelee akiwa kwa nyumba.” The judge stated

Asked whether she feels pain for taking the bold step, the woman noted having persevered enough.

“Huskii uchungu mtoto wako akikaa huko, ni kubaya?” the judge posed after his decision.

“Huyu kijana hata nimemvumilia ikanishinda. Kwanzia mwezi wa saba. Hatuwezi weka hata kitu kwa nyumba; ukiweka hata maharagwe kilo moja kwa nyumba anachukua anauza, thermos ameuza…Akijua nimemaliza kupika, anachukua sahani anajipakulia kijambazi. Msiniambie nirudi naye ndani ya nyumba,” she further pleaded

Netizens who interacted with the now viral video sympathized with the woman as some recounted going through the same.
