Authorities are investigating a shocking incident of a sudden teacher’s demise.
According to reports, the teacher identified as James Mathenge who was a teacher at the Nadhir Integrated Academy collapsed and breathed his last while playing football with a group of children at a playground in Pangani area, Nairobi.
Teacher Mathenge had taken a group of pupils to Sir Ali Muslim Academy playground for an afternoon soccer session when he collapsed and died.
Witnesses reported to police officers that the now late had problems with breathing before his unexpected collapse at around 3 pm.
He was then rushed to a nearby health facility for immediate attention but was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police visited the scene and talked to witnesses in the preliminary investigation phase in their attempt to understand how the unfortunate events unfolded.
The body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
The game on the other hand stopped following the shocking encounter.
